Lionakis is thrilled to receive the Honor Award for Growth at the 2018 Community College Facilities Coalition (CCFC) Design Awards for our work on the Mission College Student Engagement Center.
Located at the front of the campus, the new Student Engagement Center provides a welcoming new gateway to the college, enhancing community connections and renewing the sense of place at Mission College. With the demolition of Mission College’s existing Main Building scheduled to begin this Fall, the addition of the Student Engagement Center completes the construction of the two replacement facilities and lays the groundwork for the demolition and the transformation of the future Interdisciplinary Plaza, scheduled to be completed by 2020.
With a strategic layout that brings the outside in, LEED targeted sustainability, a student/learning focus, as well as functioning as a community beacon for the entire campus, Mission College’s Student Engagement Center is a bustling center of activity, supporting all facets of the student experience.
With special thanks and congratulations to the entire Lionakis Education team as well as Ed Maduli from West-Valley Mission Community College District, Gaye Dabalos from Mission College and Lionakis Associate Principal, Dennis Guerra.
