This week is National Nurses Week and May is National Nurses Month, so what better way to celebrate than to commend all of those on the frontlines fighting Covid-19! Throughout the Lionakis family, there are spouses, siblings, nieces, nephews and several other family members and friends working tirelessly and we want to celebrate them and thank them for all they’re doing and continue to do! BIG shout out to the inspiring nurses below:

Hien Vo, Designer III in our Lionakis Newport office has a sister, Lyn Vo who is on the frontlines in Orange County. She is a Registered Nurse at a hospital and she is actively caring for patients with the virus. It takes her about 30 minutes to suit up into her outfit to take care of her patients safely.

Senior Interior Designer, Marissa Pollock’s husband Trevor Pollock, is a General Contractor by day and an Emergency Room, Registered Nurse by night at the Asante at Rouge Regional Medical Center located in Southern Oregon. Marissa is part of the Lionakis Healthcare Studio and with her husband getting into nursing, this has continued to create a greater passion and awareness for her when designing healthcare projects.

Other family members to recognize include Jan Hardenburg, Senior Project Coordinator in our Newport Beach office, whose niece Kelly Young, is a Labor and Delivery Nurse, and Marketing Manager, Carole Wenell’s husband Josh Wenell, who is a Registered Nurse in the Transitional Care Unit at the VA Medical Center in Mather, CA. Additionally, our President, Don McAllister’s niece, Amanda McAllister is a Labor and Delivery Nurse at Medical City Hospital in McKinne,y Texas, just outside of Dallas.
