Lionakis is very proud to recognize Project Designer Ikenna Okemiri, MBA and LEED Green Associate as a newly commissioned Second Lieutenant in the United States Airforce! Ikenna recently obtained approval to apply for a commission with the United States Air Force and went to Montgomery, Alabama for the training to become an Officer. He has been previously enlisted in the United States Air Force as a Reserve member, with over 8 years of service duty.

The Second Lieutenant training was held at Maxwell Air Force Base in Alabama and commenced on September 12th, 2017. There were a total of 252 Officer Candidates (Cadets) for the Class, and 227 were privileged to graduate from the training, earning a Commission as Second Lieutenants with the United States Air Force (USAF). The training comprised a lot of field exercises, military drills, parades, military customs, education, and culture.

Ikenna says:

It was very challenging in all ramifications, but at the end of the day, it was well worth it.
