The new Clarendon Elementary School Modernization and Addition, located in the heart of San Francisco’s Twin Peaks area, has a great mix of new construction and modernization work. The site is tight and hilly and the contractor, Rodan Builders, is currently framing the new classroom building which spans the upper and lower parts of the campus. This new building once completed, will replace existing portables to add a two-story library/media center and music room. Additionally, work has just started on the project’s next phase, the modernization of the administration building and an art classroom conversion. This modernization portion focuses on updating the administration facilities, as well as relocating the front entrance-with a focus on student safety. The project is anticipated to be completed by summer of 2021 and the Construction Manager is Kitchell.
