Our Education Team recently went out to the active construction site at Mission College to check out the exciting construction progress happening at the Business and Technology Building which is currently being constructed by Gonsalves & Stronck. The new building replaces (26) portable buildings along the south perimeter of the campus and includes classrooms, instructional labs, and faculty offices.
The curved central stair is the showpiece of the main lobby and will greet both users and visitors to the facility. The temporary supports will be removed once the stainless-steel suspensions rods are installed.
Meanwhile, the exterior learning environments are coming to life. Students will be able to find a spot to study at the second-floor outdoor classroom while looking out to the newly completed campus plaza, Great America, Levi’s Stadium, and beyond.
The project is on track to meet LEED Gold while construction is expected to be complete in 2022. Stay tuned as the project inches closer to completion!
