Last week, the Education studio had the privilege of stepping away from their drafting boards to tour the site of the new science building at Mira Loma High School that is currently under construction. Mira Loma High School is in the San Juan Unified School District in Sacramento, CA and is being delivered with the design-build delivery model. This project will be a signature building for the campus including ten science labs, a large flex space for presentations and a second-story outdoor learning deck with a view of the main campus plaza.

By visiting the active project site, the Education studio was able to seek new learning opportunities including seeing so many exposed walls and all the various systems that are currently being installed. The science building is scheduled for occupancy in Fall 2020, just in time for the new school year!
