Lionakis officially has three new Certified Interior Designers (CID) in the State of California! We recently silly-stringed, congratulated and celebrated with the Interiors Studios’ Dorothy Schalk, Hollie Jackson-Ng and Jamie Hang who all just passed their IDEX California Examination and tell us it’s not just all throw pillows.

Dorothy, Hollie and Jamie all endured a long road. Each of them went through college courses in Interior Design, hours of work experience in the industry and lastly, tackled the exam! In order to prepare, they began in July and formed a study group. Each week one of them led a study session on the lunch hour, sharing knowledge and covering each area that was on the exam. Everything from California Building Codes as they apply to flammability, accessibility and life safety, to contract requirements were covered on the 150 question, multiple-choice, three-hour long test which they took in October.

We are so excited for each of them to take this next step in their career and want to wish them another congratulations on behalf of the entire Lionakis team!
