Last week we shared that Lionakis was fortunate to receive an award from GDUSA (Graphic Design USA) for our video on Diversity and Inclusion. However we also learned that we received the 2020 American Inhouse Design Award in the category for COVID 19 Return to Office (RTO) Collateral. As a sign of our current times, it was a first for a COVID 19 response. While all Lionakis staff have been working from home for over four months now, in preparation for the eventual return to our offices, our in-house graphics team has been working really hard to create internal signage, a return to office manual, a COVID-19 internal resources page, as well as a general branding package to house all Lionakis materials in a convenient and easy to navigate system for our staff.

Though we all would have preferred to not have to create these kinds of materials, they do show how we can proactively create a great design in response to a tough situation that we are all experiencing right now. Submitting to this new category and bringing home an award brings much-deserved recognition to our graphics team, who truly showed what a great asset they are to our firm and especially during this challenging time. Since 2013 they have now brought home 14 awards from GDUSA, who specializes in spotlighting outstanding graphic design, creativity, challenges in the industry and promoting the value that graphic design brings to the table.
