Lionakis continues to monitor the recommendations of the global health experts at the World Health Organization (WHO) and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) on preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus. We are committed to the safety of our employees, their families, our industry partners and our communities. We are also committed to meeting the needs of our clients at the level you have grown to expect from us. As this situation continues to evolve, we will be adjusting our business practices to achieve these commitments while implementing the recommendations of health experts and local government officials.
In an effort to keep the Lionakis team healthy, we have implemented remote work for all employees who need or prefer to work from home. If local government officials recommend, we will move immediately to extend this telecommuting arrangement to all employees. Rest assured, we have technology in place to efficiently continue our project commitments in this work environment.
In addition, we have implemented the following business practices that may affect you:
- Suspended all business travel on planes, trains and public transportation.
- Canceled in-person attendance at all conferences and events.
- Suspended all vendor lunch and learns and all communal food.
- Implemented a requirement that all meetings be held via teleconference if at all possible.
- Mandated that six-foot social distancing be observed for all face-to-face interactions.
To allow seamless communication, all calls to our offices will be directed via automatic call forwarding to the mobile phone of any employee working remotely. Additionally, all Lionakis staff will have immediate access to your emails as if they were in the office. This outbreak is challenging all of us to do things differently. But we are confident that we can make the right decisions for our staff and our communities while also maintaining our high standard of service to our clients and keeping your projects on track.
