The tenant improvement for the behavioral health facility on Stoddard Road in Modesto, CA is now complete! What was once a stand-alone warehouse and office building partially occupied by the American Response Services (AMR), now serves as a full-service behavioral health facility. “Tranquil Valley” is the interior design concept for the re-design, which represents the idea of creating a tranquil space that facilitates interaction and togetherness, as well as providing a serene environment that promotes recovery and rehabilitation. Inspired by Modesto’s rich agricultural history, murals and graphics throughout the waiting room and corridors depict Modesto’s surrounding farmlands. The design provides connections to the outdoors through the use of materials, while creating opportunities for members to meet, interact and engage with one another in a community-type setting.
The interior finishes and patterns were selected to create a harmonious and tranquil atmosphere to help diminish stress and anxiety along with enhancing the member experience and providing a strong sense of wayfinding for members, staff and guests as they meander through the waiting area, group therapy rooms and offices. All materials selected are part of the client’s specific standards and incorporate materials and overall design philosophy to create a total health environment.
