With Placer County’s “Atherton Building” being officially open for business, Lionakis employees Tyler Babcock and Joe Serar had the privilege of attending the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony in mid-September!
The project program for the Atherton Building includes a complete interior demolition and rebuild of the existing 45,000 square foot tilt-up Office/Warehouse Building, 26,000 square feet of Office and Support Space, including public lobby & service counters, open office workspaces, and a wedding “chapel” and patio, as well as 19,000 square feet of warehouse space, used as a voting center.
This facility houses Placer County’s Clerk Recorder Registrar Offices and Elections Division, effectively maximizing the County’s engagement with their residents. Additionally, the facility improves access to vital county records, aiming to ensure transparency for voters throughout the voting process.
The Voting Center is reserved for registered Placer County voters to cast their ballots securely and efficiently. The secured Ballot Counting Center improves election efficiency, and provides proper observation opportunities. Alongside efficient and safe voting facilities, the Atherton Building allows Placer County residents, departments, and community groups access to the all-new Training Facility and Conference Center.
Our staff are excited to celebrate the grand opening of the new Atherton Building and are honored to take part in the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Placer County’s revitalized building!
