Cherryland Elementary School

Cherryland Elementary School is a replacement campus for an aging and overcrowded school in Hayward Unified School District. The campus includes two-story classroom buildings organized in grade level “pods” surrounding a shared resource area to support project based learning and small group learning. In addition, a single core building – with administration services, the learning commons and multi-purpose space with food service – serves the campus’s 750 students. Kindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten are organized in a stand-alone complex. The school includes significant space for students services to support specialists and intervention opportunities for this under-served population.
