DGS Governor’s Mansion
For nearly 50 years no one lived in the California Governor’s Mansion. In 2015, Governor Brown announced that he would be moving into the mansion, he was the first Governor since Ronald Reagan in 1967 to reside in the mansion. Lionakis went to work renovating the kitchen and bathrooms, providing infrastructure upgrades, including interior design of the first and second floors, taking extra caution of the historic importance of this renovation. The team not only had to bring this residence up to code but also balance preserving historical accuracy with current amenities and environmentally friendly features.
