USC Seaver Science Center Engineering Research Lab
We provided programming, space and laboratory planning as well as construction phase services for this remodel project. This remodel was required due to the recruitment of three new principal investigators who would occupy most of the floor for their advanced research. Due to the toxic nature of the chemicals used in this type of research, toxic gas monitoring and development of safety standards and protocols was an important feature of this project. Types of research that take place in the facility includes photonics, energy harvesting and generation, next generation logic components, device technology of 2D materials, novel circuit applications of 2D materials, nanoscience and nanotechnology.
