Fresno City College New Science Building
The Fresno City College (FCC) Science Building, funded through the 2016 Measure C bond initiative, provides state-of-the-art laboratory and instructional spaces for Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Engineering programs while serving Design Science students from Fresno Unified School District. The facility establishes a prominent campus presence along Blackstone Avenue, strengthening community connections.
Developed through an intensive collaborative process with Lionakis’ design team, laboratory planners, faculty, and administrators, the building prioritizes safe, modern laboratories with cutting-edge learning technology and collaborative social spaces. Though budget constraints required some program elements to remain in the existing Math/Science Building, this student-centric facility successfully addresses critical instructional needs while establishing a forward-looking framework for science education at FCC.
