Caltech Physics & Laser Laboratory
We provided laboratory planning through construction phase services for this Design-Build project at the California Institute for Technology in Pasadena, CA. The 2,029 square foot renovation was designed for use of lasers in experiments in nuclear and particle physics. Due to the sensitive nature of measurements being made in the lab, the design team assisted with the design of special enclosures around the equipment. This included HEPA filtered air, sprinklers and extensive power capacity. Installation of a crane rail for moving heavy equipment around the lab required extensive coordination with the enclosures.
