Shimadzu Precision Instruments, Inc. Processing Lab

This 6,744 square foot tenant improvement converted a shell warehouse into a metal plating production facility in Long Beach, CA. The project included a Research and Development (R&D) testing laboratory, as well as chemical storage and containment. We provided design and construction documents, code consulting and construction administration. Key issues involved in this project included upgrading HVAC and fire/life safety for hazardous occupancy, for a company that primarily produces engine accessory gearboxes, flight control systems, landing gear and cargo door actuators for airplanes.
