UCI Health Julia George Argyros Surgery Center

This project transformed the Surgery Center Waiting Room and Reception area at the Gavin Herbert Eye Institute (GHEI) while expanding crucial staff facilities. The redesign features a strategically positioned central reception counter with counter-to-ceiling glass privacy elements, providing staff with clear sightlines to both the entrance and the entire waiting area. The renovation includes complete updates to floor and wall finishes throughout the patient areas, creating a more welcoming environment. Beyond the patient-facing improvements, the project doubled the capacity of the Staff Lounge and added a convenient new staff restroom, significantly enhancing employee comfort and operational efficiency.
