Summer 2015 New Hires
Lionakis has had an exciting summer with three new hires to add to our Sacramento and Newport Beach offices. We took a few moments to interview each new team member and found out some pretty interesting stuff!
First up, Connie Simvoulakis,a Project Designer in the Interiors Studio in Sacramento.
What are your favorite hobbies? My two favorite hobbies include baking, and building Lego buildings. I know it’s kind of nerdy, but my specialty is the architectural series. It’s very relaxing, and when you’re finished, you not only feel accomplished, but you have a great conversation piece! I’m currently working on the Sydney Opera House which is about 3000 pieces, so that is pretty much taking up most of my free time!
If you were stranded on a desert island for one year and could only take one thing with you, what would it be? If I was stranded on a desert island for a year, I’d make sure my family was with me. I know that is clearly more than “one thing,” but they would be the only “thing” I’d want to have with me. We’re a big Greek family, and as far as I’m concerned, there would never be a dull moment, and a year full of good times and great parties!
Next up, Carlton Arnold, another Project Designer in Sacramento, this time for our Healthcare Studio.
What’s your favorite TV show? The Walking Dead…why? Because the zombie apocalypse will happen sometime in the future and I hope you are prepared.
What are your favorite hobbies? Besides hanging out with a 3yr old, I would have to say taekwondo and crossfit. I love Olympic style sparring and the group encouragement of the cross-fit gym.
And finally, Jenny Manansala, who joined our Newport Beach office (and will eventually transfer to our Hawaii office) as a Senior Designer in Interiors.
What is the best book you’ve ever read? Unfortunately I don’t have much time to read books as much as I’d want to, but I have to say the best so far is “Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood.”
What are your favorite hobbies? DIY-ing, crafting, writing poetry & last but definitely not least…dancing!
